Top 5 YourCause Innovations in 2025

The YourCause team is buzzing with excitement over all the innovation we have planned for 2025.

Across our YourCause solutions – CSRconnect and GrantsConnect – as well as our new impact reporting and storytelling tool, Impact Edge, our teams are working hard to bring you new features this year. Our goal is to make it easier for CSR program admins to do their jobs, engage employees with fresh experiences, and ultimately drive more impact in communities.

We’d love to share every detail, but there’s just too much to fit in one blog post. So, here’s a quick look at five of our top innovation objectives for 2025. You can expect continued updates and customer support resources throughout the year around these items and more. Stay tuned!

 

1. Impact Reporting and Measurement

We’re already off to a big start for the year with Impact Edge™, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about our new partnership with True Impact! We’re eager to bring True Impact’s rich, outcomes-driven dataset into our solution. By joining forces, we’ll help YourCause clients better understand their impact, make thoughtful decisions, and share an even more compelling story.

We’ve also rolled out complimentary Impact Dashboards for all YourCause customers. These dashboards offer a fresh way to visualize data and analyze trends across YourCause solutions, providing a centralized location to see how programs are performing and pinpoint opportunities for growth.

On top of that, some of our YourCause customers are getting an early look at Blackbaud Copilot – Blackbaud’s AI assistant built right into Impact Edge. We’re excited for its full release in the coming months. This innovative AI tool will be a game-changer for CSR professionals, making complex data tasks a breeze with just a few simple commands.

 

2. Faster and Modernized Giving Experiences

Our market research and customer feedback have inspired us to transform the way we support giving through our solutions. With numerous updates on the horizon, we’re excited to share that client admins, employee users, and nonprofit partners will all see a faster, more efficient giving process. We’re still in the early stages, but we’ve already made significant strides towards drastically reducing our processing times.

Beyond speeding things up, we’re also working to make the giving experience more engaging for employees, aiming to boost participation. This includes the addition of recurring credit and debit card giving, slated to launch in the first half of this year, and the addition of payment modalities like Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more later in 2025.

 

3. Fresh Volunteering Features

Volunteering is a cornerstone of CSR programs. It helps foster engagement, create a sense of belonging, and support employee retention. Our volunteering features are comprehensive, covering everything from virtual team events and tracking individual board service to longer-term projects that utilize employees’ skills. In 2025, we’re enhancing our volunteering tools to make participation and event management smoother than ever:

  • QR codes for easy mobile check-in
  • Streamlined event creation, optimized for mobile use
  • Ability to create Custom Skills alongside our library of 160+ skills
  • Custom translation for skills

We’re committed to making your volunteering experience as seamless and rewarding as possible.

 

4. Intuitive and Innovative Grantmaking Updates

We’re also excited to further streamline your grantmaking journey! GrantsConnect is packed with features that let you tailor the platform to fit your unique needs. We’re committed to ongoing improvements, making sure you can harness all of GrantsConnect’s powerful tools without needing to be a tech wizard.

We’re also bringing more AI features into GrantsConnect. One exciting addition will transform how you build forms. Our new AI capabilities will review your forms for grammatical errors, suggest ways to simplify them, and remove any redundancies. Plus, it will ensure every question aligns with your goals, so your outcome reporting is as impactful as possible.

 

5. Continued Global Expansion

Global expansion of our charity database and creating localized experiences for users, no matter where they live, is something we deeply care about at YourCause, and that won’t slow down in 2025.

We’re thrilled to share that we’re about to announce a wonderful new partnership in Mexico, which will open a number of vetted Mexican charities for giving, and many more for volunteering. Details of this exciting partnership will be coming soon, so watch this space!

This year, we’ll also be exploring new global partners to further expand our charity database into more regions. Plus, we’re continuing to improve areas like translations and segmentation to make sure employees have smooth and personalized experiences that truly meet their local needs.
